On Friday and Saturday, October 14th and 15th you will have the chance to spend an evening in the beautiful and historic Magnolia Cemetery and visit the graves of famous Con-federates. At each gravesite, scenarios will be acted out by volunteers in period attire, in which they tell the story of the life and death of those who are buried at the sites. This will be the 30th Annual Confederate Ghost Walk presented by the Confederate Heritage Trust, Inc. There will be several candlelight tours through the cemetery, led by tour guides, on both nights. Tours will begin at 7 PM and will last 1 to 1 1/2 hours with the last tour leaving at 9:30. Tickets are $20 and will not be sold at the event so you must purchase your tickets in advance. If you have ever been to Magnolia Cemetery during the day you can imagine how beautiful it is at night with moonlight coming through the live oaks and Spanish moss, and this is the only occasion you can get into Magnolia at night.
